|Diet / training schedule analysis
|£90||Assessment of your current diet as above, in conjunction with your training schedule: provides nutritional recommendations for specific training sessions and races.
You will be asked to complete a 7 day diet and training diary, which you should complete as you go along (not from memory, which can be very selective!). Caroline will provide you with a template – alternatively, if you record your training sessions and/or dietary intake using software you can extract and print out the results. Prior to the consultation, Caroline will analyse your diet and training schedule and then explain her recommendations during the consultation lasting 45 mins.
In addition, if the data is available, Caroline can calculate whether your calorific needs are being met based on the amount of calories you are expending. (NB anyone with specific health concerns should opt for the full dietary and symptom analysis).
2x 20 minutes
|£80||First session: examination of symptom questionnaire and identification of the most appropriate test (e.g. food sensitivity, thyroid, adrenals). Second session: full explanation of the results and recommendations. (Cost of tests can vary between £30-£250).
You will need to complete a detailed symptom questionnaire which gives symptoms relating to imbalances in different systems in the body (e.g. digestion, thyroid, immunity, and so on), which will then be discussed in the first consultation. Caroline can then identify any underlying physiological or biochemical imbalances and order the most appropriate test(s) from one of four leading UK laboratories, to confirm any imbalances. She will then explain the results in the second consultation lasting. You may subsequently wish to book a full dietary and symptom analysis where Caroline can recommend a health programme to help rectify any issues.
|Full dietary and symptom analysis
60 minutes + 30 minutes
|£90 + £60||Complete assessment of 3 day diet and detailed symptom questionnaire: involves one 1 hour consultation (information gathering) plus one follow-up (30 mins) (explanation of recommendations) and includes a written Health Programme, useful fact sheets, recipes etc, and any test assessments. Recommended for people with specific concerns, e.g. stagnating performance, poor recovery, digestive issues, etc.
You will need to complete a detailed symptom questionnaire listing symptoms relating to imbalances in different systems in the body (e.g. digestion, thyroid, immunity, and so on), and a diet and training diary. This will be examined during the first consultation, during which Caroline will listen to your story and take a full medical and family history. Based on the information provided, Caroline will identify any underlying physiological or biochemical imbalances (and if required select the most appropriate test(s) to confirm any imbalances). She will then devise a Health Programme (diet and lifestyle) for you to follow for a specific number of weeks, dependent upon your health concern(s). She will explain her recommendations in the second consultation, which usually a week after the first. At the end of the recommended period, a 30-45 min follow-up consultation is usually required, according to individual needs, to ensure you are on track and to make any necessary changes.
|£60||In addition to general food recommendations given in the consultation, a menu of simple meals (including paleo and SCD recipes) for those who have difficulty in knowing what to eat or how to cook can be created. Can only be provided in addition to dietary analysis consultations.|
|£60||Assessment of your current diet: identification of any food group deficiencies and imbalances in the ratio of carbs/proteins/fats to provide a healthy, balanced diet. Includes the provision of fact sheets and handouts.
You will need to complete a 3 day diet diary, making a note of everything you eat and drink as you go along (not from memory, which can be very selective!). Athlete Lab will provide you with a template to use which you should bring to the consultation. Caroline will analyse your diet and then explain her recommendations during the consultation which lasts 30 mins. (NB anyone with specific health concerns should opt for the full dietary and symptom analysis).
